The Alexander technique, meditation and other authentic paths are a bit like the Sagrada Familia. No one in Barcelona is impatiently waiting for the finished church to arrive. Rather, it's been going on for years, and people are quite happy for it to slowly progress, and to visit it in it's unfinished state.
In 1990
When I first arrived in Barcelona in 1990 it was a building site, the central Basilica didn't exist. It's still a building site, and from a park near my home I've watched it slowly evolve over the last 30 years. It's a good time frame to keep in mind, we're not buildings, but it takes time to progress in what we're doing. And then suddenly a long time has passed and here we are... still learning.
Although maybe we're actually doing an inverse "build", and are taking down a Sagrada Familia bit by bit :)
